Our Wildlife Service Dogs are trained for wildlife forensics

Our K9s located two mountain lion bedding areas in the duff under low branches of a pine tree.  The size of the bedding area helped us to identify that we were dealing with a female mountain lion and a kitten.  There was evidence of random mountain lion hair in the beds.

The K9s located very fresh mountain lion scat; the scat contained green mucus on the outside and had a very strong unpleasant odor. The scat was close to 8 1/2" long and just over 1" wide.

Hair from the mountain lion was located by our wildlife service dog near the area where the mountain lions had been bedded down.
