Toddler is found alive by K-9 Moose!

In July 2007, Moose performed an outstanding track and undoubtedly saved the life of a two year old toddler who wandered away from his parents trailer in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range in WY. Alzheimer's Patient found by K-9 Moose

In September of 2008, Cold Nose Investigators (CNI) received a frantic early morning call from a husband who was staying at the Old Corral, a local hotel, with his wife. His beloved wife who suffers from Alzheimer's was gone when he awoke and was nowhere to be found. Her clothing and coat were still in the room which meant if she went outside that frigid morning, there was a good chance she could become hypothermic very quickly.

Moose was immediately deployed to the hotel.
Time was of the essence to find the missing wife. Moose was allowed to sniff the clothing
of the missing wife. He went down the hallway, sniffing the floor and then door knobs. At one door he barked, the person staying in the room said an elderly woman had walked into their room during the night. Moose continued to the upper level and then back down to the main level where he indicated by scratching and barking at a room door.

The door was locked and no one came to the door when I knocked. A managers key was obtained so the door could be opened.

The wife was snuggled in bed and didn't even know how much commotion she had caused. I called to the husband who very calmly took his wife back to their room. She had no idea how much pain and fear her husband endured.
