Jade missing Boxer in Wyoming, Found May 7, 2008

On April 22, 2008, my son,Brian, took off in his semi truck with our 5 year old boxer, Jade.  My son pulled off of I-80 at mile marker 348 just about 10 miles west of Cheyenne to let Jade do her business.  In the process of getting her out of the truck and into her harness, Jade was spooked by some loud noise and took off running at top speed.  My son was frantically searching the immediate area for Jade but knew he couldn’t search too long because he had a load of cows in his trailer.  After 3 hours, Brian contacted the Laramie Animal Control office and gave them a description of our missing Jade.  Our family was distraught thinking about Jade being out in the Wyoming wilderness without food, water or shelter.
A week went by with no word from Laramie Animal Control even though my sons called every other day asking if there was any word.  During one of the calls, the officer gave my son the name of a very respected animal tracker named Cathy and her fabulous dog Zoe who could track missing animals.   more...

Lassie comes home with Cathy& Zoe help  April 10, 2008

Rollin our four legged child (sheltie) was lost in Katy TX, a small suburb outside of Houston. For the last 11 days he went missing from my friends back yard while visiting from Houston. Things appeared dire because we did not have a confirm sighting for 7 days and we knew he was traveling a 5 -10 mile square radius via the  creeks and drainage's that weave thru the city and out to a large wilderness call George Bush Park. Rollin had no tags or microchip and his successful return looked  grim.

We were terrified that Rollin may become prey to alligators in the creeks or a meal for a coyote, or run over by the heavy car traffics and highways that runs thru the city. In panic mode we contacted Cathy, and had her rescue team flown in from Wyoming on a very short notice.

Cathy meticulously gave us her recommendations and scope out our situation. She  attempted to raise public awareness of our dire situation by engaging with local law  enforcement, animal health providers, and the public at large to get our message out with large florescent poster.  Zoe was invaluable in helping us track Rollin scent and localized the area he would be found and later capture.

Within a day after Cathy and Zoe landed at George Bush Airport, we miraculously recovered Rollin at night at a neighborhood where Zoe assisted with the search. Cathy help baited Rollin to come to her and ended our two week of confusion and nightmare. Cathy was a true professional with a very calm demeanor who truly went  the extra mile, who gave support and listen to our suggestion to help us rapidly  recover our precious four legged kid.

All the best and we can not thank you enough.

 Will & Milena.

A Lucky Story
On a cold wintry night I put out our three dogs into our fenced  yard.  They enjoy playing with each other in the snow and I wanted them to tire each other out before bedtime.

As I sat in the kitchen at my computer I realized something was wrong.  I heard barking unlike any I was used to and then it  stopped.  Rushing to the front door I looked around the yard - no dogs.

They had escaped before but usually all came back within minutes - so  I did not panic.  Twenty minutes passed and the female mastiff came trotting back.  Another fifteen passed and the male mastiff came drooling back to the door at a slow lope.  But then an hour passed, then another, and no yellow Labrador.  more...

Cat lost in shipping and then found by Cold Nose Investigators  while  we  moved cross county!

The thing people say most often after telling them about our cat running away and
that she was caught by Cold Nose Investigators is "There really are pet detectives?"   We can't say enough about Cold Nose Investigators and what great people they are   and what professionals they are in their work.

What impressed us the most throughout the whole thing, was Cathy and Curt's determination. They were out looking for Maya every night, in extreme conditions, using very high tech equipment and we'd never even met them or sent them one dollar. And I could tell from Cathy's voice on the phone that once they had seen Maya, they knew they could catch her.

Two nights later they did catch Maya. They had determined where she was feeding, the path she was taking, and they adjusted their strategies every night to get her into that trap. After Maya being "lost" for six days, we got a call in the morning that Cathy and Curt had Maya and were headed back to their house to warm her up, and see how she looked.

My family can't thank Cathy, Curt, and Zoe enough!

Peanut, missing Chiuchiua
If it wasn't for Zoe and Cathy, Peanut my little Chiuchiua would not be alive.  My family and I were camping in the National Forest when Peanut ran off with our other dogs.  They came back but he didn't.  We searched for 5 hours and many miles, nothing.  I had given up hope and headed home.  That's when someone told me about a local Pet Detective.  I contacted them and we drove back to our camping site, 11 miles into the forest.  Cathy used a search strategy which brought Peanut to us.  I could not believe my eyes when Peanut came out of the woods to us!  He was freezing cold, but alive.  Thank you for saving our little Peanut!                                                                                Jim

Testimonial  Cathy Orde & Zoe
A friend and fellow dog trainer contacted a small group of friends that her service dog, Hunter, escaped from her mother’s yard in Iowa the day she was going into the hospital for eye surgery.
Although the group of friends was not large in numbers, you would not know that by what transpired over the next few days.  Before long there were people helping from all over the world.

I was on the 5-man task force that helped coordinate the search which was named Hunter Come Home.  When Hunter wasn’t found after a day of searching it was decided to get a pet detective on the job.  Cathy was contacted and agreed to go to Iowa and head up the search.  She drove straight through to Iowa City and met with the ‘feet on the street’, a group of friends who were working the streets putting up flyers and going house to house in the neighborhood where a Hunter sighting had been reported since his escape.

There were many people involved in the search behind the scenes keeping us, who were scattered in so many states, up to date with details of the search, making up flyers and sending literally hundreds of faxes and emails to local businesses and vets in the area.

Cathy’s professionalism and courtesy were evident from the initial contact through her follow-up after Hunter was safe and she had returned home to Wyoming

I was very impressed with the service that Cathy and her search dog, Zoë, provided.  If it were not for her expertise I don’t know if or when we would have found Hunter.

Thank you, Cathy, for a job well done.  I will always remember the picture which will be forever etched in my mind of Zoë nudging Hunter down the hill to go to his mom right after Cathy and Zoë found Hunter.  After Cathy told Hunter’s mom to call him, it was evident from his prancing back and forth that he not only heard his mom call him but he was apprehensive about going down the hill to get to her as the terrain was quite steep.  I wish I could have been there as Zoë not only nudged Hunter down but followed him all the way to Hunter’s mom and the two jumped into the van together.  What a story.  There was not a dry eye in the houses of those reading their email that Hunter was found and in good health with only minor injury to his pads.  A truly happy ending!  Zoë, you’re the greatest!

I would highly recommend Cathy as a pet detective.
